Activist investment firm Jana Partners wants Encompass Health to reengage with interested third parties on a potential merger for its home health and hospice business before moving forward with a planned spinoff of the unit, sources familiar with the matter said on Tuesday.

But even then, some hard-to-treat sources of pollution – in aviation, agriculture and cement making – may linger for longer than we would like.
